New Delhi, Aug 11: Public broadcaster Prasar Bharati is planning to increase “significantly” the number of channels offered through its free-to-air DTH service, by auctioning them in a staggered manner.
It is also considering carrying out a change in its policy to try and get the best of channels on its DTH service.

MUMBAI: Prasar Bharati and France 24 on 17 July signed an agreement which is set to strengthen the partnership with the pubcaster.
The agreement was signed by French 24 vice president Eric Cremmer and Doordarshan’s additional director general Ranjan P Thakur.
As part of the agreement, France 24 channel will be available to the DTH viewers on DD Direct plus from 1 November.
